Wildlife Calling Conservation Day

On Sunday 11th May, Wildlife Calling hosted a Conservation Day at Brambleside Community Primary School in Kettering. The say was a fun family event to raise funds and awareness among the public regarding protecting the world’s animals!

It was a free event offering activities for children including face painting and a colouring competition. Wildlife Calling kindly invited our Annie and Judy to host a stall and present a talk about their time working in Animals Asia’s Chengdu Moon Bear Rescue Centre as Veterinary Nurses. There were also stalls and talks from the Northants Monkey Sanctuary, Leicester Wildlife Hospital, Tiger Awareness, Global White Lion Protection Trust and the Rutland Osprey Project.

judy_annie_speak_jpgEveryone had a great day (despite a car break down en route!), and we would like to thank Anita and Wildlife Calling for hosting the event and inviting us to join in. We raised over £100 on the day and new eyes were opened to the barbaric practice of Bear Bile Farming- well done Annie and Judy!
