Frog Racing Night raises over £1500!

IMG_5694On Saturday 25th October 2014, we hosted our second Frog Racing Night in aid of Animals Asia in Shirley Solihull which was enjoyed by 150 guests and raised an amazing £1500 through sponsorship, ticket sales, frog auctions and bets and the raffle!

150 people attended our latest event after 120 attended in 2013. Again, lots of people were unsure of what to expect, but we did not disappoint! By the end of the night everyone was on their feet screaming for their frog to cross the finish line first!

The feedback was tremendous, everyone had brilliant fun and laughter, even us organisers!

The event was be even bigger and better than previously; it was held at the Shirley Community Centre, 274 Stratford Road, Shirley, B90 3AD at 7.00pm.

Tickets were £8.00 for adults and £5.00 for children under 12 years which included a fish and chip supper.

Six 1ft tall wooden frogs will raced in six heats plus one final with attending guests getting the chance to jockey the frogs and have a flutter on the competitors! The winning jockeys were promoted to the final, and our winning jockey won a bottle of bubbly and a cuddly frog!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our 7 wonderful sponsors, who donated generously to help cover the evening’s costs which helped us make as much profit for the charity as possible:

We would also like to thank the Station Fish Bar for providing very cost effective but yummy catering!
